“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much” – Helen Keller

Being involved in the community means building relationships. Relationships are the very things that bridge the gaps between barriers. Community involvement promotes leadership and promotes passion. Here are some things the Edna Sells Team have done within the past year within our community.

Jennifer Yerton was our winner! Her charity was Help In Crisis in Tahlequah, OK.

Our very own Jessica Green and Brittany Boyd participated in the Tahlequah Polar Plunge. Tahlequah Polar Plunge is a fundraising challenge made to an individual or group challenging them to dive into a cold body of water in order to raise money for Special Olympics. Each participant collects pledges from family, friends and businesses in the hopes of raising lots of money for Special Olympics.

We are fortune to be invited to the Tahlequah Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Breakfast. This past March, the theme for the event was "Wellness in the Workplace". The speakers included Lora Buechele & Courtney Hamby as they cover healthy living in the business world.

The TSET Healthy Living Program serving Cherokee County focuses on workplace wellness through improving access to healthy foods, increasing opportunities for physical activity, and decreasing tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke.  Our goal is to empower women to stay healthy where they live, learn, work, and play.  Our team will focus on simple ways to incorporate healthy behaviors in the workplace while increasing productivity and improving personal energy.  Employers and employees will learn how to work healthy through policy adoption that supports long term wellness in the workplace.

Community Spotlight Series

We love our community! Our Spotlight Series shows some of the great things Tahlequah has to offer. Enjoy!
